Evolution

So I was watching a show tonight on PBS. It was about the argument between Intelligent Design and Evolution. I have heard Darwin's theory many times but each time I hear it explained again it baffles me that people don't see evolution is as much faith based as religion.
If evolution is true and man came from monkeys and monkeys from other species that were brewed from some primordial soup that was brewed over billions of years after rocks in space collided, the question still stands, where did the rocks come from? Is there not faith involved in believing "in the beginning rocks"? I know faith is involved in "in the beginning God".
Now when you talk about Evolution, creation or not you have to admit that Evolution takes place. However there are two types of evolution. Micro and Macro. Micro Evolution takes place all the time. Micro Evolution means a change among species. For example during times of drought birds beaks will change sizes to gain access to water in hard to reach places. Macro Evolution on the other hand means a species can change completely. For example monkeys changing into humans over millions of years. Micro Evolution is seen all the time. However Macro Evolution has never been seen by humans. That is why it remains a theory. Sure I believe that birds beaks change during droughts. But I don't believe that birds evolved into dogs or cats.
What do we do with this information. So often we want to argue about it. However scripture does not call us to aimlessly argue about our faith. We are to defend it yes, but for what purpose do you defend your faith? Do you defend your faith out of anger for their disbelief or for sadness of their disbelief. Do you preach because you want them to experience, see and taste that Christ is infinitely more valuable than anything else?
"Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction." 2 Timothy 4:2

I would like to ask a few questions about the egocentric point of view that man was created in the image of God. If God resembles a man is He a male? Is He a white man or a Jew? Does He has long hairs?.......If He is so intelligent then why He created many loonies, dim-wit, blind faith people?

Before I answer your questions, I must point out that for God to be egocentric would make him sinful and therefore not who he claims to be, as he claims to be perfect without fault.
You then asked "if God resembles man is he a male?" God does not resemble man. Genesis says "man was made in God's image and likeness." This does not mean that man is an exact physical replica of God, so God is not a white Jew with long hair. He is God, he is a supernatural being, he has no body! Now God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit make up the Trinity and Jesus (God's Son) does have a physical body. He was a Jew, probably had long hair (who really knows) but I can guarantee you he was not white. Jesus was Middle Eastern, he was born in Israel and then lived in Africa for a while, he was not a white European. But he did have a body.
So people were made in the image of God that means that we are different than any other animal he created. We were made with a soul and the ability to have a relationship with Christ. So in actuality God was the opposite of egocentric when he created us. The creation of man over flowed from his love. We were created to commune with God. And when God first created man (humans) they were perfect, not loonies or dim witted. Sin did not enter the world until man sinned. That is when the whole thing feel apart. The fact that the world is not perfect is human responsibility. And now the questions stands, can it be repaired? If we were created for relationship with God and we turned from Him how do we get back there?
The answer is through Jesus (God in flesh). Jesus came and lived a perfect life, he suffered a Cursed death on the cross. So all we have to do is confess that we have sinned and falling short of relationship with God, but we accept the sacrifice Christ gave for us. After his death, Jesus then rose from the Grave and ascended into heaven and we wait for his return.
